Major Mama Drama by Lisa Mullarkey

Lisa Mullarkey did an awesome job writing this transitional reader. I can't wait to read more in this series!
The story is written from Kathrine's point of view. She uses adorable words and phrases that make you really like her. Everything seems to be going fine at her school when her mom tells her she is going to be the new school lunch lady. As a mom I could really appreciate how her mom thought. She really wanted the lunches to be healthy and started messing with the menu. And as you probably guessed this is the intro for some "Major Mama Drama".
Check out this book for your K-3rd grader. They'll get a kick out of the funny events and relate to how Katherine feels in this modern fiction for elementary school age kids.
Cool-a-roo! (a Katherine The Almost Great phrase!)
